I realy hope(d) thta they will go with a hard reset. My main problem with Pokemon nowadays is that I don’t feel any joy in obtaining a rare pokemon coz I am never sure if it wasn’t hacked. Rare legendaries like back in RSE or GSC will never be a thing anymore and pokemon just became a bunch of generated poxils with stats with no sentimental value.

What would I give to feel amazing by obtaining something rare knowing that someone actualy lost this pokemon in exchange for smth rare of mine. Now I just feel cheated everytime while giving something valuable coz I imagine that the guy from the other side just genereted the pokemon to get mine for free.

The Gen 2/Gen 3 disconnect was because A. the way Pokemon stats worked was totally different in Gen 3 from Gen 2 with how IVs and EVs worked and B. the way data transfer was handled in GB games differed from the higher speed and higher bandwidth, simultaneous data transfer capabilities the GBA line had. There was no way to do seamless Pokemon transfers at the time of Gen 3 coming out. Bank fixes most of that by doing conversions on Bank's side.

You won't. LGPE is dependent on it for field moves and its stats would be retarded with a light ball.

That doesn't matter, people want to trade up their old mons simply for the sentimental value. Call me stupid but I've still got my original Blaziken from my first playthrough of Ruby and I love being able to bring her over to the new games.
