I'm cautiously optimistic. Didn't buy LGPE, nor did I buy USUM. USUM was probably the first time since I was like 12 that I didn't buy a mainline game on release or not ever. I ended up pirating a mod of USUM for nuzlocking though. Regardless; I just hope there's some good new pokemon designs, and interesting story stuff. We don't know enough.

I'm stupidly excited. The series has had its ups and downs, but I've been pretty consistently entertained by new pokemon games over the past two decades, and Sword/Shield look fantastic

the games look like shit, and my expectation where low as fug
