The Arctic is north. Antarctica is south. Penguins live in the southern hemisphere (except for the Galapagos penguin). Only 2 species are actually native to Antarctica, and only a few others migrate there. Many penguins live in VERY MUCH NOT COLD places. There are African penguins, Australian penguins, and South American penguins.
Penguins are ABSOLUTELY more at home in the water. They are totally built for it. Many penguins spend months out at sea, only returning to land to mate and raise young.
