Pokemon as a concept has lost its sense of wide scale adventure.

Travelling through huge routes with teeming landscapes of Pokemon is all anyone has ever wanted. Running through huge, beautiful locations, biking through big cities and alleyways, all of it gone.

What we have come to is corridor routes with set camera angles, stiff random encounters, and story laden cutscenes about diety Pokemon ruining any sense of personal integration within the story.

It was ok when it was on a ds and they only had so much to work with. On a console with stuff like Xenoblade and Dragon Quest, it’s simply not ok.
