Since it's pretty obvious that the region is basically Great Britain flipped by 180 degrees, and you can clearly see peninsulas that resemble Kent and Cornwall, the big city up north is based on London (The Eye, Big Ben, Parliament building, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus).
What are other real-life correspondences can you spot? The red-brick city has been proposed to be based on Newcastle, York or Edinburgh, and I'm most interested in that big grey castle city in the central part of the region.
