If in an alternate timeline where there was a theory that the fire starters were related to Prime Numbers, but a handful of them are not related at all to prime numbers, then the theory is already debunked.
Same thing applies here with the Zodiac Theory.
Even with the inconsistencies in the theory (such as inconsistencies with what stages, category names, taxonomy, ect.), you would still need the remaining Zodiac animals.
I remember telling Grinchfags during the grinchleak that All the characters needed to be revealed, not just one. And look at the roster now. Ken got in as a playable character.
And that is just assuming Cyndaquil is actually a rat (while also assuming that Charizard and Infernape aren’t just Flames) and that Fennekin is a Dog.
Until GameFreak outright admits it or the rest of the Zodiac is complete, nothing is confirmed and nothing will be confirmed.
