As an oldfag still playing these games, I have a certain level of nostalgia for the way things were in previous gens. But these new starters, this new region, leave me feeling bereft. With a game map this linear and confined, the new games could've and should've been released on handheld, and even then expectations would not have been met. Outside of the game being set in the UK, I see very little in the way of redeeming qualities for the upcoming games. I don't have a Switch, and this lackluster effort certainly won't lead me to purchase one anytime soon. I'm done playing new Pokémon games. I'm sticking with older generations. Who's with me?
