Hopes:
-Updates changing frequency of wild encounters or making usually non available pokemon to appear in the wild. Maybe add in exclusive cosmetic mons like in Pokemon Go events.
-No festiplaza bullshit
-Hundreds of customization items for both male and female players.
-At least 100 new Pokémon.
-More postgame than just battle maison copy paste.

Worries:
-Shit customization.
-Post game is just a crappy route + battle maison copy paste.
-Cutscenes galore.
-70 or less new Pokémon.

I hope that there'll be 100+ new Pokemon, and for a better postgame than we've got recently. Give me the battle frontier. Obviously I'm concerned about linearity but I think a lot of anons are jumping the gun. I don't think we've seen enough to make a judgement either way. I'm being cautiously optimistic.

Feeling optomistic, but that’s how I felt about sun and moon too. This particular screen grab reminded me of gen 5 for the better. I like the idea of a really industrial gen and I’m hoping Gamefreak won’t let me down nearly as much as usual.

Legit happy as fuck to have a game set in the UK. Wanted that since I was a kid and the locations shown so far look great.
Not too sold on the starters, but I'll wait until we see the final evos to judge.

Yes they have. They shit out a bunch of gen 1 clones with gen 5 and like 90% of them look horrible. The series is now cursed with abominations like Trubbish and the genies. A more focused, smaller group of Pokes is much better

Honestly pokemon needs a shot in the arm to revitalize it but due to the target demographic being so young will never happen as they will just stick to the usual formula like they always do. So if i had to be realistic the only thing i can really hope for is no gimmicks (Z moves, Ultrabeast, Armoured pkmn) and just focusing on making an original compelling region with interesting well designed mons.

But im really worried. I really felt the fatigue at Sun and Moon ,i only played that gen once, and i didnt even end buying lgp.

I don't want to be interrupted by cutscenes or thousands of dialogue boxes. I'm hoping that theres some choice in progression with diverging paths, as well as improved customization, abandoning Z-moves and adding a couple new Mega Evolutions, though I wouldn't be surprised if they have given up on Megas. That and a good handful of new Pokemon obviously.

Bros I am in the hopeful camp and I hate to break it to you, but you are setting yourselves up for disappointment. We already have shit like Fletchling weather vanes and wild old Pokemon en masse. Galar is going to be primarily filled with old Pokemon and likely sub-80 new species. You need to accept this now so at worst you can be pleasantly surprised later.

Ive been analyzing over it since it came out(i made this map)
I'm super worried about how in depth and explorable the game will be given Ohmori and Masuda are back as the leaders, but I have a bit of hope that they can make it as good as gen 1-5
I do love the art style and the graphics honestly are really nice, although its a shame they removed walking and riding pokemon and overworld encounters from Lets Go
Cautiously optimistic as of now, but not expecting it to be good yet

And if the armored evolution thing is legit, i lose all faith in the series and boycott this game

It feels like a mix between Kalos and Sinnoh, two of my favourite regions. I also feel a bit of Unova in there. I'd honestly love to say that i'm super excited and hype and all that shit, but i'm cautiously optimistic for now, even though what i've seen so far has really appealed to me. The only new Pokemon they showed off in the trailer were the starters. They could have showed at least one or two other new Pokemon but they decided to show off Pikachu for the hundred-thousandth time. It’s just going to be Alola and Kalos all over again.

Unova still gave us great designs like Volcarona, Galvantula, Darmanitan, Haxorus, Chandelure, etc. Having to deal with a small handful of shitty designs is far better than having to slog through a bunch of old Pokemon I’ve been seeing since I was six years old in every goddamn route.
