My first impression upon seeing the trailer was that of an Electric type, and I stand by it. The Japanese name contains the word "spark", the foot pads look like they could be used to generate static electricity and the flavor entry on the site states that it's filled with energy. It does look more like a runner than an actual brawler so Electric seems more appropriate.

Fire/Electric was my first thought too; mostly because I thought it was the new Pikachu clone at first. Hopefully it will either have a high Attack or Sp. Attack and not be a mixed attacker especially if it gets a great physical electric type move.

They're ment to be 'the' companion and are what little shits argue all over for 20+ years. The majority of players deem them important, that's the sole reason.
Also being pissed about repetitive pkm is understandable.
In the 2 latest games we got 4 different grass/ghost lines. Fuck that shit. Especially since ghost doesn't get a lot of entries per gen as a whole.

When it showed it running on the gear or whatever, it sounded like metal clanging on metal + sparks, so I think the yellow patches on its feet and face are metal patches/have metal qualities. If this is the case, I sure hope it learns a fire type headbutt and blaze kick or something.
