As an in game tool, new Exp Share sucks. Postgame for EV training and grinding, it's fucking amazing. Overall I'd say it's better off now than its ever been.

If you play the game with the tools it gives you and you end up overleveled to the point everything is trivialized then yes, it is a valid issue.

What if I used it to catch up stragglers so everyone was at the appropriate level, without overdoing it? I like breeding Pokemon, and the Exp. Share helps the Level 1s reach everyone else.

Gen 7 actually balanced the game around the EXP Share, I kept it on the whole game and the E4 were around the same level as me
