Gen 5 is what Gen 4 should have been from the start. Gen 4 was an unnecessary middleground.
Gen 6 is what Gen 5 should have been. Other than the battles, that game looked like a DS game.
Gen 7 is what Gen 6 should have been. It looks better than a DS game for the most part, but it's still got horrendous pixelated shit everywhere.
Gen 8 is what Gen 7 should have been (looks like a 3DS game).
Gen 9, if it is on a new system, will have Switch-tier graphics. They are always behind like this.
