Also, none of the anons you replied to seem to know where the meme actually comes from. The real origin of the meme is from the halcyon days of 2014, shortly after ORAS was first announced. The Pokemon variety show was going to show exclusive footage of the upcoming games, so a bunch of naive and gullible /vp/ users
or just a bunch of /vp/ users with no idea about how these things usually go tuned in to see a fat load of nothing. Like, it was literally just intro footage of vanilla Groudon and Kyogre popping out of the sea, spreading their forelimbs, and roaring as they induced their respective weathers. Since making an already sunny area even sunnier is a more special brand of "nothing's happening" than making a sunny area suddenly rainy, Groudon was swiftly made into image macros with the text "WOW, IT'S FUCKING NOTHING". Eventually this sentiment morphed and mutated into a general pessimism about any potential happening, and then apparently into full-blown antipathy towards any new developments whatsoever.
