I like Tepig a lot, but at the time of release I didn't like that it became more humanoid and another fire/fighting when it evolved. I've since made my peace with it but I still dream of what could have been.

tepig is a pretty good 1st form and pignite is ugly but not insultingly so
you have much worse

I like pigs.
Despite this, Pignite is flat out one of my 10 least liked pokemon, Tepig is in the bottom half, and Emboar, while not my least favorite starter Final Stage of all time, is in the bottom 3.
It's a shitty ass line.

I didn't like the Tepig line back in the day but its grown on me. On the other hand I never liked the snivy line and I used the Oshawott line and I guess Samurott is just OK but the rest of the line is meh

I'd go with Bounsweet line. Bounsweet and Steenee aren't offensive but they're just boring, they don't really do anything that we don't already have except "grass loli" I guess. Then you have Tsareena, which is by far the worst design in the franchise.
