You know sun and moon had Pokémon go effect but 3ds was dying at the time yet it still put up monster numbers. 5.5 years into life cycle of 3ds

So sword and shield releasing at switch red hot rn. He can do 20 million for sure

15 millions will buy it because they always buy the new gen,1-2 millions will come from the people that started with let's go and want more, 3-4 millions more just because everything does better on the switch.
If they actually make a more affordable switch for kids we are looking at a 20+ millions and we get pokémania like the good old days

I see Sword and Shield bringing a lot of people back to Pokemon, Considering the Worldscape is a lot bigger now the game seems to be on a much larger scale. That's my only reasoning currently. Also hopefully some of the Let's GO Crowd moves over to the Core Series.

It will sell switches because now because people will get another one just to be able to play Pokemon if someone else in the household is also playing Pokemon.

I fucking hate the Switch, it should of been just a hand held at a cheaper price or a console at the same price it is now. Not a mash of both as much as they say it's a hand held first and foremost. My ass.

XY sold 16.37m, SM sold 16.14m late in the life of the 3ds and USM sold 8.28m becoming the best selling third version/revision since yellow (that was in the middle of fucking pokémania) on a system that was almost dead.
Also LGPE may be shit but is outpacing every pokémon remake. The series is not dropping sales outside of japan and japan will show up again for gen 8.
