They can't have PSS again as there isn't a bottom screen, unless they bind it to a button and prevent you from moving in the OW, which I'd be find with if it meant PSS. Wouldn't be PSS 2.0, but I personally want it back. I don't care if it's better than before, but I would obviously like if it was. Not much more they could do besides let us chat, but it's a Nintendo game so that will never fly

I don't think they are the best base game in terms of anything but content. If a third version cleaned up the map, had a good story and made team flare less dumb,and have post game then the third versions definitely would've been up there

I didn't like XY. Atleast not as much as gens before it besides BW 1. However, it's the Pokemon game i played the most BECAUSE of PSS

Would've managed to keep playing Sun and Moon ,the games i considered the worse in the franchise, if PSS was still a thing. It wasn't, so I dropped it at like 80 hours in.

I imagine PSS 2.0 as a vertical bar on the right, wide enough to show one line of trainers avatars as in xy, but just scrolling vertically.

Maybe this bar could be usually hidden, but there should be a button on the right to display it in any moment. And maybe the button could display a symbol to notify trade or battle request, so we don't miss those keeping the bar closed.

This is my dream, but after SM's mess I'm actually really pessimistic about how GF will manage online.

I mean, unlike other games, xy did not feel like an all-alone-trip.

Plaza destryed that feel. Also, was totally shitty.

Sadly, I've little to no hope to see any kind of PSS again.
But PSS would be the only reason to make me pay for online.

The Plaza requires you to go into the Start Menu and then Go to a completely seperate location, Taking you away from the adventure, You cant just mindlessly look at it while playing the adventure., Also to make any modifications to your team you have to leave the Festival Plaza and go to a Pokemon Center.

You say that like it's inconvenient. And it's barely noticeable that it's a different location since your position in the area doesn't change when you go back.

There's no excuse this can't be brought back even with the lack of a bottom screen. The switch screen and TV screen is large enough to have players icons scroll along the bottom/top/left/right sides of the screen just like PSS

This should be optional agreed, but I guess it's to keep in check injectfags that don't know how the game works and try to bring Tropius with Flame Body to ranked matches so when they're banned they have to go through the hassle of making a new account and all that.

They don't need to anymore, Switch consoles are banned if hacked while connected to the internet (unless homebrewfags find a workaround). Then again Let's Go did not check for hacks so it'll unfortunately be mandatory but I can dream.

Yeah but plaza looks shit and what you can do there is nearly nothing. The idea was great but the doing bad.

Eg: battle factory was pretty great but that you are dependant of some randos was shit. Having a vr like place opens huge possibilities like adding special trainers from other regions just through dlc/updates without caring about lore and shit. Adding multiple modes, having tournaments etc.

You click, are put into a loading time, then have to connect to wifi manually once you enter the plaza, then you have to hope your friend list decides to actually work. Compared to PSS which stays online, always shows friends, and doesn't have any load times.
