OH MY FUCKING GOD
/vp/, I FUCKING DID IT. I FIGURED IT OUT. I SOLVED THE FUCKING DA VINCI CODE

Listen the fuck up nigs, because I am almost certain I am right on this despite how 'out there' this might sound at first, just stick with it though.

So here goes...the game has a fusion mechanic, now I'm not even gonna try to pretend I know how it'll work but it will have a fusion mechanic in some way. It's the symbol in the games title as well as outside of the gyms (pic related).
I believe that whatever this fusion mechanic is will play a prominent role in the gyms and rather than being strictly 1 type they will be a fusion of 2 and the funny thing is that this can actually be somewhat backed up by the HQ picture of the map. If you look at the gyms, there's 2 distinct colors lighting up the dome section of the building, and those 2 colors can be attributed to the pokemon typings we have.
>But wait anon, If that is true why is only the leaf symbol shown and not the other typing
Perhaps fusion takes into consideration what a Pokemons primary type is, you know the way things like Bulbasaur is primarily a grass type but poison is its secondary typing? Maybe that will have a purpose now.

The one thing that is confusing me is that the map version of the grass gym has the exact same color as the poison/dragon type accompanying the green on its dome, but in the trailer i couldn't see any such thing, unless the colors alternate and it cut off in the trailer before such a thing happened as to not pull the cat out of the bag too early.
The only problem is I'm having trouble decisively figuring out which typing each gym has, theres a lot of colors which are similar, like poison, ghost, dragon and flying.
If I had to guess, I'd say it goes
Grass / (Dragon?)
Water / Poison
Fairy / Ghost
Dark / Ice
Rock / (Ground?)
I'm least sure about the Rock and Grass ones to be honest.
