OP here, I’m not at home right now and can’t access my 3ds, but can I transfer the Mew I caught through pokebank to the newer games like sun and moon through the VC Yellow version?

that’s not the same as learning it, it won’t have the move when it reverts.
And there’s other moves. Frenzy plant, Draco meteor, dark void, etc.

You have to perform a glitch go get its OT to line up with one from an event so it will transfer, otherwise pokebank knows it’s from the glitch

Yes it will. That's how sketch works when used by a transformed pokemon.

You need to do a bit more extreme glitch abusing to change it’s trainer ID to GF and the ID number to match the legit VC mew that was given out, since bank is programmed to only accept that one. Just google “legit pokebank VC mew” or something along those lines for a step-by-step of the glitch. And be careful because I made a mistake first try and it crashed and erased my save file.
