As usual, the fire starter is the only starter that matters.

Grookey has an ugly design, but its evolutions will look good. Despite this, it will have shitty stats and a terrible movepool and abilities.

Scorbunny is already great and will get amazing evolutions, a fantastic movepool and an incredible hidden ability.

Sobble looks okay now, but its evolutions will be awful (eg: primarina, samurott and blastoise). It will have no moves and no good ability, not worth picking at all.

Grookey genuinely looks like a fucking fakemon, truly bottom of the fucking barrel.
Scorbunny doesn't look like a pokemon. He looks like some fucking sidekick from some weird japanese anime or some rejected 90s mascot. It's not bad, but definitely not a pokemon
Sobble's problem is the fact that he's a starter. He looks great, but he doesn't look special/rare at all

I don't understand how Scorbunny is so popular. Aside from having one of the worst names in Pokemon history, it looks like the goddamn rabbit from that one kids cereal. It's just so round and overly-cartoony it looks awful, like a fake gen 6 cookie-cutter archetype you could fit in here.

I ended up boxing my starter in Gen 5 too, it was pretty underwhelming and I found Leavanny and Lilligant to be much cooler grass types to use, so there was no room for it on my team.
