Since gen 5, every set of starters has been 2 mammals + something else, with Fire always being a mammal and Grass/Water alternating each gen.
Gen 5 : Grass Reptile, Fire Mammal, Water Mammal
Gen 6: Grass Mammal, Fire Mammal, Water Amphibian
Gen 7: Grass Bird, Fire Mammal, Water Mammal
Gen 8: Grass Mammal, Fire Mammal, Water Reptile
So if gen 9 continues this trend we'd get a Grass reptile/bird/amphibian (or maybe an insect?), another Fire mammal, and a Water mammal.
