Sun and Moon were a massive blow to my interest in Pokemon; I'm not just gonna buy every Pokemon game and be entertained even if it's just a samey snorefest with no difficulty anymore. They're gonna have to put in some level of effort.
At this point, I think the games could go either way, but I'm expecting the worst because Game Freak has taught me that that's all I should hope for from them. At the VERY least, I like the starters far more than I liked the gen 7 starter designs, and the region already looks a thousand times more interesting than Alola just by virtue of not being separated into shitty islands.
