Hi, im Aira and im a translator, i had the oportunity of translating the name of a few pokemon for the french and italian version of Pokemon Sword and Shield. Many of you may know that italian and french have many pokemon with different names.
I also tested the demo in spanish, french and italian to check if the first translation was OK.

Im not risking anything posting this since i'm working on a different company now and i lost my job in a really unfair way.


Disclaimer: I didn't see ANY pokemon other than the 3 starters in they first phase, but to translate correctly the small bunch of pokemon we had to rename we made the following: We had a focus group of seven person, 2 of them saw the pokemon and they'd describe them to us and give important info about them to make our work properly. They did it this way so we couldn't leak or take pics of the pokemon.
