To be fair Alola comes across as a much smaller region than the others. Would have felt weird if the gang came across an original city and had some epig big scale adventure they never talk about in the series.
Maybe if it was a smaller scale like the Keldeo one.

I haven't kept with with the SM anime, but I agree, I think they'd make a decent movie out of it, ideally with Guzma playing a large role.

Only plot I could even see for a movie that would work for is if they went to Ultra Megalopolis for Necrozma but instead it got its own shitty arc

Otherwise, no movie is a good thing. This cast sucks and they barely do anything in the actual show so if they somehow went on the epic grand scale adventures that happen in the movies, it’d be jarring and bullshit because then you watch the show and realize they act and do the exact opposite.
