I like the overall design since it's full of a bunch of little details befitting the increased scope of the game, like the plaid shirt poking out under the jacket. He's wearing a standard hiking jacket for the climate.
He's also got a BIG FUCKING BACKPACK which is a return to the Gen1/2 days of characters actually looking like they're equipped for a journey.
Grounded protags with sensible attire are a bit more encouraging, and far more fitting for a northern european setting.
