>>37785846If you actually calculate how much the games have made Gamefreak it's a very low number. Stores tend to make 10 dollars profit from the game, so you'd have to first subtract their cost from each game's base price, then multiply that number by the number of games sold, then you need to know the costs of operation. How much did each cart cost to produce? How much did the shipping and packaging cost? How much did it costs to use their distribution method?
Once that cost is figured you you have Gamefreak's cost of opperation to account for. Paying employees, paying bills, paying for any upgraded technology around the office, any bonuses that are awarded, and any business expenses like group meals. Somewhere along the line you also have to divide that number by three AND pay TCP employees for their work (including the American and various other branchs) and in the end you're really not left with much actual profit.
And as said they do not have that 90 billion at fucking once either, nor did they earn most of it. They don't see much of a cut from OLM, Bandai, Tomy, and other companines. Like Bandai earns everything from Gundam as a brand becuase they own every piece of Gundam media, but Gamefreak only earns a small cut of what Bandai makes from Pokemon because Bandai produces the toys. And that goes for any other company producing merchandise.
