>>37781690The Magnemite has always gotten a lot of time of day in the TCG. There weren't many Electric types, and when it became dual Electric/Steel in Gen 2, that gave it even more time to shine.
It was in the Gen 3 dex, which let it continue to be relevant, and got the Magnezone evolution in Gen 4. Magnezone definitely took away some of the attention that would normally go direct to Magneton, but it still gets some by proxy.
Magneton is one of my favorites as well, and I feel like it's gotten more than its share of service over the years.
