Last preview for B2W2 via the homepage updates. Nine previews covering five of the volume’s nine chapters are released in total.

Pokémon Special Discord is created from a smaller skype chat, bringing the fandom together to grieve Black and make memes.

Just as everyone thinks they can’t take it anymore, B2W2 is announced to be released in the web magazine Sunday Webry, from start to finish.

The Great Hiatus ends, having lasted for over 3 years.
The first chapter of volume 53 is released in the web magazine Sunday Webry. The series manages to hold a steady monthly release for 7 months.
June 12th, 2017
The dawn of the delays, as the month’s chapter gets published in two parts, with two weeks between them. The schedule for next chapters gets pushed behind by two weeks as well.
Black is seen inside the Light Stone as a silhoutte in the second part of the chapter (June 23rd) and everyone loses their common mind.
July 26th, 2017
The next chapter of PokeSpe gets delayed by a month, then additional 2 weeks. The chapter is once again released in two parts, this time a month between them.
The fandom gets worried. It is later found out that Kusaka got a burnout during the 20th anniversary activities last spring, resulting in the delays.
August 8th, 2017
Second collected volume of B2W2 arc, vol 53 is released. It is revealed in the preview of the next volume that vol 54 will end B2W2.
September 22nd, 2017
White finds the Light Stone and everyone loses their common mind the second time.
