the art style is really nice, I think
and I really like pokemon's gameplay, but they'll never make drastic changes to it for the same of VGC being a thing
random encounters are a bummer but I don't think they're that bad, it's just that we got a taste of overworld pokemon and its gone already :(
the starters do look like baby creatures, but a LOT of other starters have this same problem (totodile, fennekin being even worse than these ones)

No and there's a very simple and easy to understand reason for it. These are games built for children. Kids don't care about graphics they just want to play with the cute pokemon. Which means as long as gf puts in minimal effort, they can count on money pouring into their bank account. No one will work harder than they need to so either accept the truth and realize you're not the target audience or seethe every time you see pokemon.

Not by your standards. Fans of the franchise will enjoy the games so long as the games are focused on catching and battling pokemon. No amount of people claiming the graphics should be better or hating on newly designed pokemon will change the fact that people love pokemon for what it is.
