Here's a list of things that we're never getting again:
Battle Frontier, PSS, new Megas, new Regional variants, following Pokemon, the old style of Contests, Super Training, Horde battles, good post-game, Pokemon World Tournament, being able to make Apricorn Balls, Challenge Mode.

I'm missing a few but you get the point.

There will be. I can't tell you how I know, but I've seen them. There will be about 20 new regional variants, based on Gen II and IV Pokemon. Like with Alola, they're based on the original Pokemon but are adapted to Galar. For most of them, they look very similar to the originals but have shitty teeth.
