it NEEDS to have a unique final evolution. it cant just get bigger. if it does, it wont stand out from the other two grass monkeys we have. we cant let grookey fail

Passimian isn't Grass-type though. People shouldn't complain about more redundant Pokemon. Gen 6 had a grass hedgehog, a fire fox, and a water frog - all of those were done before.

This. I hate it, but the starters have been some "anthropomorphic human role" for like 3 gens now

Samurott was a samurai, serperior is a monarch, emboar is a sumo wrestler, greninja is a ninja, chesnaught is a knight, delphox is a mage, decidueye is an archer, incineroar is a wrestler, primarina is a mermaid.

I'm fully expecting grookey to be a drummer or something, scorbunny to be an athlete, and sobble can be a cheerleader or something I don't know

I'm holding out hope that Sobble winds up being a loch-ness monster styled thing. It seems really unlikely that the monkey and bipedal rabbit won't end up vaguely humanoid, but I just want a properly monstrous starter for the first time in forever. The last ones we got were arguably Serperior, and Torterra before that.

I can see where the predictions for the bunny and the monkey come from, but why does everyone talk about a cheerleader or some other sports player for Sobble's evos, even though nothing in its design suggests it? Did i lose anything here?
