It's likely that they also saw that their online player numbers were significantly lower than other formats so they just cut them because of a general lack of interest. I don't care of triple ever comes back but I do home rotation returns. I really liked rotation battles.

No shit, considering every 3DS DQM game exists and can have eight distinct monsters with complex moving parts out simultaneously, along with their owning players who can be decked out in a myriad of costumes.

I think Battle Royal will get overhauled personally because it's a popular format of games right now. It might not be exactly the same but I think they'll try to cash in on the fact that kids like that kind of crap.
