The only reason one should buy the current Switch is if Nintendo releases a cheaper, lesser spec Switch. The only pros of the current Switch is that if you try hard enough its hackable, but still not perfectly safe compared to the 3DS.
The G1 Switch makes zero sense in 2019 especially if the PS5 and new Xbox is coming, they'll probably release a $200~ cheapo Switch and then release an upgraded version of the Switch later next year.
