This arguing is destroying my brain cells. How can you guys do this on a daily basis? Pokemon has been a handheld franchise and Switch isn't a console for graphics. The best we can hope for is an art style like BOTW that ages well. The problem is that by the time GF masters the hardware, the next console will be right around the corner. I mean, I love Pokemon. I started with Yellow and I haven't missed a single generation since. But everything is in constant motion. Life is in constant motion. Nintendo and GF have a difficult choice. They could choose to really dig deep and take 4-5 years making a stellar Pokemon entry, but by that time the next console will be around the corner, and more importantly the franchise's momentum will have died down. I don't mean to defend Nintendo, but their goal is to make money. We have to accept that and keep our expectations in check. I love Pokemon, but if I let it consume my whole identity, or attempt to live vicariously through it to dull the pain of real life, then I will only set myself up for disappointment. It's best to just enjoy Pokemon for what it is and not try to make it more than that.
