Don't let /vp/ meme you. Gamefreak's got a generally small staff for their output and they do yearly games with tight dev cycles and little time to relax. They might be able to do better but it's not because it's lazy, it's because they rush shit out for franchise purposes.

Does anyone have a real source for the 300 people thing? Their website lists only around 140 employees total and when I went looking the other day all I found were people saying they had 300 employees with no article or proof, or vague news articles about job listings.
