Silver is a raging faggot who's beyond easy mode like the rest of the game, but he actually grows and learns which is nice.
Wally has something of an arc to him, but he's barely around so I'm hard pressed to care. The other one is a non entity who may as well have not been in the game.
Barry is ok although he is painfully bland.
Cheren and Bianca are ok as companion characters. They are beyond shit as rivals to the point I don't think I'd even call them that.
Everyone in XY is a chump who I hate. They're not entertaining, they're not challenging, they're not fun. They're annoying.
Hau I actually like. He's a pretty cool guy with his own hopes and dreams that don't quite align with yours. He also gets the benefit of being in the most story driven Pokemon game to date. I know I'll get flack for it, but I like Hau. Gladion is a generic edgy do-good anime boy. I find him tiring, but for the games target age demographic he's probably really cool.
