There is a track record of first games in a gen for Pokemon being inferior to their third versions/sequel.
>Pokemon R/S
>Pokemon D/P
>Pokemon B/W (debatably)
>Pokemon X/Y (doesn't even have a third version)
>Pokemon S/M (USUM wasn't that much better, but there still are improvements over the first games)
Now combine the first games in a gen being bad/mediocre, and combine it with GF total incompetence, and the consistent removal of features to "keep every generation unique" which is a load of horseshit.
Is there any real reason to expect the upcoming games to be particularly good? Not even going into the graphical side of things which are very very mediocre. What hopes are there that the actual in game content will suffice?
