A lot of marketing is based around making up neccessities and insecurities that need to be fixed since the beginning of time
Example, razor blades basically made up that people needed to be shaved to be clean and prettier. Nobody gave a fuck about their hair before, and shaving can potentially expose you more to illnesses and causes dry skin and blisters.
Another example is the organic meme, is nothing but a marketing coined term and truly organic products do not exists. They just make people believe they will be healthier if they buy it and its priced higher because they have no pesticides or use natural pesticides (when natural pesticides are just as "bad", chemicals from natural still have effects on us and can be as irritant or corrosive as man made).
It's the same with gendered products, so people buy more instead of sharing it, and they are priced higher.
This is off topic so is all I'm gonna say and have a Plumeria for the rest.
