Is this a thing now? Trying to create an acronym controversy where none exists? It's been long established that no one cares. It's going to be called S/S or SS or whatever it is you're saying regardless, simply because it is the path of least resistance. This has been true since R/S and will continue to be true regardless of what the letters involved may be, at least until we have the same two letters as a previous gen, which would be a legitimate problem. Until then, we don't have a problem. There is not going to be confusion as to what game anyone is speaking of when they say SS or S/S. Usually, when people are speaking of individual versions, they don't abbreviate it, not even in the case of Soul Silver. The context is usually that they have x version anyway, and when speaking of the games in general, they usually refer to the entire set instead of the individual version, even if they just have one of them. Even ignoring all that, the only confusion there can possibly be lies in any pokemon up to the 4th gen. That is the only thing that could possibly be relevant to the discussion, and if that was an issue, it would've been apparent already, since Sapphire would've been confused for Silver beforehand. That has never happened ever. This issue of yours DOES. NOT. EXIST.
