>>37848975That's not Gaelic, it's actually psuedo-Latinate. There aren't any direct Gaelic versions of the names, as the legends originate in Wales and Cornwall, not Ireland or Scotland. The original Welsh versions of the names are Caledfwlch and Wynebgwrthucher; Caledfwlch was Latinised to Caliburnus, and then further altered in French retellings (which later became the most well known versions of the legends, mainly Le Morte d'Arthur) into Excalibur.
No fucking clue how the name of the shield got translated that bizarrely, though. Pridwen is a kenning for a Welsh goddess traditionally known as Ceridwen, though whether she has any connection to Arthurian legend I don't know.
