seriously why are they still making routes like this even though it's 3D now? those stupid ledges you can can jump down but not go up are especially dumb in 3D.

You know what, you're fucking right. I've personally always prefered the 2D game anyway, but maybe that would change if they stopped making the games as if they were still in a 2D environment.

Jesus Christ, all of the routes in the game are liesurely walking paths through the woods, how fucking hard can that be to make interesting?

Unpopular opinion: Pokemon should try to copy Zelda games a bit, especially something like OoT. Pokemon help the player get to places they couldn't before just like in our own games.

No they aren't. They just aren't on a grid, but that's it, they don't take advantage of that fact.
Real 3D locations have depth and verticality to them, SM and SS (so far) are flat and restrictive.

no they arent? sun and moon have a fair bit of depth to their routes, heck it's the main reason i like them. poni canyon is the best example of this though there are others.
