Gen 6 and 7 are the best in the series, but all the games are good and I'm glad GameFreak is really making an effort to revamp them and making inventive gen 1 spin offs. GameFreak really gives it their all.

I'm so fucking tired of going to the previous region in every single game. I know GF loves showing off how amazing their environments and mechanics have evolved, and how they want to exploit the upper limits of the PS4 and current state-of-art PCs capabilities, but c'mon. It gets boring all the time. BTW, I must say I loved that Gens. 6 and 7 included another 150 Pokémon each.

I can get it because there's barely any water on our actual planet, but despite the fact that Pokemon games LOOK photorealistic, they don't have to mirror our world 1 to 1.

Yes, innovations are good. We don't want boring, slow and outdated mechanics.
Glad the old catching mechanics are back, just pressing a button is much better than doing something fun.
The art style is also good, it's not overused and the proportions are great.
