>>37847314nah, but a few make sense. charmander to charizard is barely a stretch, bulbasaur to venusaur isn't a leap. squirtle is the biggest morph. gen 2 are all pretty much thing get bigger. mudkip and swampert themselves look pretty perfect with marshtomp being the weird one out. treeko's tail is pretty prominant, so it and sceptile look good together, with grovyle again being the weird middle. torchic to blaziken is thing get bigger. gen 4 is thing get bigger, water is the weirdest change. snivy is thing get bigger, tepig has undies to imply he'll stand up, oshawott is the biggest morph.
fennekin to delphox is a big change, froakie to greninja not so much (japanese thief, young ninja, high level ninja), chespin gets fat and pops open to be armor, weird but not out of left field totally.
popplio to primarina is a decent shift but not impossible - everyone was guessing clown, it was just a different kind of performer. rowlet to decidueye is thing get bigger. litten and torracat stay logical but incineroar is utterly wild.
so, going by some patterns, one is going to stay thing get bigger, one is gonna be a bit of a stretch but not out of the realm of possibility by base design, one is gonna be a huge disparity. the water types have been the ones to change the most, being moderate to huge changes. grass types have changed the least. fire types vary between thing get bigger and insanity.
grookey will probably not change into an ape and lose its tail, it will probably stay a tailed primate with a thicker upper body and will use sticks or one big stick.
scorbunny can either be thing get bigger or it turns into the beast of caerbannog.
sobble will probably just be a little weird, a water lizard with marking not fully related to its base form, but is tangentially.
