>>37848804I am replaying it right now, just finished Kiawe's trial. It is much better once you get off the first island, as then the cutscenes get MUCH less frequent, but they are still a hassle at times.
It's not a bad game by any means, but compared to past games it lacks much in the way of replayability, which is unfortunately part of the charm of pokemon.
It is a consequence of it being more story heavy than past games, the plot demands the player's attention and due to game freaks inexperience with plot heavy games it comes across as very long winded and tedious. The animations are a little to slow, the dialogue is too wordy, everything that needs to be said is repeated constantly.
It isn't bad, but it has noticeable flaws, my hope is they learned from it for gen 8
