This isn't a 3DS situation where they're trying to wring the most out of a shitty hardware set anon, Switch is wlaking out the door, depite being priced at$50 more than the OG 3DS on launch. At most, there'll be a more expensive pro Switch and the base model will drop in price a little. But the days of shrunken kit are gone, when shrinking the tech leads to an increase in price.

There is literally 4 mainline Pokemon games on 3DS:

It's also backwards compatible with gens 4 and 5, and you can play gens 1 and 2 on it with VC. The only games you can't play are RSE and FRLG.

The 3DS era was great, but it spoiled us. Now everyone wants the same thing for the future and it sucks.

Also, I find it incredibly annoying that people act like the $300 for a Switch is awful, like once you've spent that you have access to all the other games for Switch too. Pick up Smash Bros or Zelda, there's no one saying you have to spend the $300 exclusively for Pokemon.

Yea a lot of the time it’s just that they haven’t made smart financial decisions but if you were born poor and you’re young it’s just how it is. Not everyone can start a successful business out of the gate. Most of you shitting on poorfags are teenagers or adults who still live with their parents and have no bills to pay and get free shit given to them all the time.
Even if you’re not -poor- $300 can be used for a lot of things besides a switch, it’s still enough money to think “this money could be something else.” I can get a fucking puppy for $300, I could add a new frog/snake to my collection, etc

You're gonna spend more than $300 for a half decent computer than ran run Yuzu assuming its fully compatible with all computers by the time Sword and Shield comes out. Even rounding up the cost of a switch and everything $400 is still less than what you'd pay for a computer

Switch niggers don't understand that the 3DS originally came out at $249 and didn't draw dimes to the point that Nintendo had to beg people to buy it.

When they released the original 3DS XL at $199.99 two years later it flew off the shelves. The the tablet 2DS came out at $89.99 and the new Nu 3DS and 3DS XL also came out at $199.99 while the old 3DS and 3DS XL were slashed to $149.99 and $169.

It's not unreasonable for longtime Nintendo handheld users to scoff at the $300 price tag. Just because you got conned with the Wii and WiiU does not mean that handheld users have to suffer from your stupidity.

Console users ≠ handheld users
