Pic related. Before female MC encountered that Pikachu, she was sneaking through the grass. I recall a certain feature utilizing the act of sneaking through the tall grass to encounter specific Pokemon. Did SM/USUM have a sneak mechanic?

ORAS did, SM/USM didn't. I was thinking that too, maybe a sign of other past mechanics returning (vs seeker because Sinnoh remakes, maybe?).

It is possible, and the most likely case sadly. But if not, guys...could we see the return of the Dexnav or an equivalent feature? IIRC, it was something Ohmori came up with, and he's the one directing these games
