LGPE did improve when the first footage was shown, although, not all that much (like fixing Mewtwo’s second cord).

Nintendo games usually do.

It's only with Western AAA games and Japanese companies like Square Enix and Konami that the final product looks worse than what was advertised.

They're going all out with the polish on this platform because they're terrified of the perception of a Wii U repeat. Sword's art direction and fidelity are going to be iterated to hell and back over the next 9-10 months

But seriously, it really isn't that rare for the final product to have updated visuals. Not saying we'll suddenly get a huge boost in graphics, but some more polish here and there could very well happen between now and release.
