Why the fuck old Pokemon games are so fucking expensive on Amazon?

Is there any way to buy old DS Pokemon games for less than 20 bucks?

Pokemon games are expensive because they have a low resell rate. A majority of people just don't resell them.

The best place to look anon is sites like craig's list for DS game lots, or yard sales. The people who use those sites have less interest in what things are worth.

Very few people resell their gen 3+ games, and there are simply less of them
Pokemon is such a solid investment

I recently put a backlight in my old GBA and it was fun as hell playing gen 3 on it until I remembered how lame non-reusable TMs and no split is

At this point im thinking of getting a flash cart for my 3ds.
But pokemon bank wont work on flashcarts right? Feel like replaying ds era games on 3ds hardware.
Do the bootlegs on ebay work for bank if ds flashcarts are a no go?

Just hack it, free 3ds games, inject gens 1-3 (or VC for 1-2), and nds-boostrap gens 4-5.
You can play every single generation of pokemon on 3ds.

Literally, the only option is to go to Japan. There I got Emerald, Platinum, and HG for the equivalent of 10 bucks each. You need some basic understanding of moonrunes to play, though.

Every version is hackable, every single one.
The latest one, 11.9, is a pain though, but it's doable with no additional hardware.
