It's feng shui and zen, he's the continent turtle, it's like the world tree, a bonsai tree. It's a lot of shit man. I just wish the tree was in the middle myself and there was another layer of rocks, but whatever.

The only thing that could make Torterra more perfect is if they increased its size and weight. Just doesn't seem big enough to have Pokemon living on its back, like the Dex says it does.

Yup. its the only set of starters that I have trouble picking a clear favorite and can only dream for the day they finally get mega evolutions.

I wonder if Mega Torterra would just become a globe of simply just become massive with more trees and a river

Ignoring any measure of popularity, Torterra has a problem where it just isn't dynamic. If you want to draw it you're pretty limited in what you can do with the creature itself. The design makes up for this with its little biome making a great setting for smaller Pokemon, symbiotic relationships and other comfy things - but Torterra itself will still be rather static/samey throughout each image.

Yeah, this is the main problem. At least Venusaur can utilize vines to interact with things, such a thing would be out of place for Torterra.
