Save yourself and just stick to the DS ones. 3DS ones aren't really worth picking up. Super's the best option of the 3DS games, if you really wanted to, but if there was any mystery dungeon to play it's easily Explorers of Sky.

Honestly mystery dungeon was the reason why I quit pokemon altogether.

I generally pick Charmander or Cyndaquil to play as because Smokescreen is broken in these games, and in Red/Blue I pick Squirtle as my partner so I'd have a high leveled Water type for Silver Trench. Minmaxing kid's games is fun, okay?
I enjoy Time/Darkness because you can actually bring four party members to dungeons, which is more interesting.

I cried like a bitch playing red rescue team when I was 11. My favorite mystery dungeon. Has the best OST of all of them.

I played explorers of sky but for some reason, it was very forgettable. I don't have the cart anymore, so I haven't replayed it since.

Gates to infinity was okay, but kind of soulless. (like the mainline games are now)

Super mystery dungeon, I had to drop. Felt just as low effort as Gates to Infinity, so kinda reluctant to play it anyway, combined with a boss I couldn't get past, so I just quit.
