You can't even rely on the above gif anymore to troll with the said TCG art, and fans putting it on four legs anyway in art: making it act cute and cat-like, even badass art of it in the wild.

I agree with most of what you said, so no real issue with anything but the following: it's also frequently noted Typhlosion rides on Charizard's coattails in terms of nostalgia and people would lambast Blaziken's design if it were released today - by contrast, I know people'd be fine with Incineroar if it got released in gen 3 precisely BECAUSE of nostalgia. And if you give Blaziken credit for competitive as a reason for popularity, Incineroar must be the same for being godly in VGC and also quite good in-game. Infernape also got memes for copying Blaziken's typing as well. I should know, I remember that back at DP's premiere.
