don't know why some people are so retardedly resistant to the switch on this board. you'd have a case to make if this was the wiiu with its 16m lifetime sales, but the switch is already a world phenomenon and will likely outsell the 3ds in its lifetime. if you feel you need to wait for a cheaper dockless revision then just express that instead of desperately pretending the switch isn't the destination for mainline pokemon moving forward.

Wrong, i've owned everything from a GB>3DS and inbetween just for Pokemon, in the end I was always a PC/Playstation kid and I know plenty of my friends were the same.
I say good luck to them, i'm fine with buying a portable handheld for a series I love, but a console is another thing entirely.

I didn't buy a 3DS until X/Y were announced because I was A.) waiting for main series Pokémon and B.) waiting for an XL because I couldn't stand the shitty tiny ones anymore after the DSi XL with my bear paw hands.

I was buying all of the games I wanted that released for it along the way. I just didn't play them, obviously. I always have a backlog of several dozen games at this point, so it's not that I wasn't playing anything else just because I didn't have a 3DS until Pokémon was incoming.

I bought them and then literally started playing some of the others while waiting.

Around here it's probably a little more true than normal, but overall not necessarily.

First I do when I see a switch is have a gag reflex. A few months later I actually hold one... And fuck, how wrong was I. It's a good console, as much as I hate to admit.

There are lots of great games to play on the Switch. SSBU, Bayonetta 2 (which is packed with the first one too, just like in the Wii U release), Octopath Traveler, BotW are all worth playing.
Plus, it's feelsgoodman to be able to take my Switch everywhere and play games people play on the PS4 and their PC but outside or while traveling.
